🇲🇽 José Alberto Delgadillo



He earned his Ph.D. at the Université des Sciences et Techniques du Languedoc II at Montpellier, France.

He is currently Professor at the Departamento de Ciencias Médico Veterinarias and member of the Centro de Investigación en Reproducción Caprina at the Universidad Autónoma Agraria Antonio Narro.

The main focus of his research is the interaction between photoperiod and socio-sexual relationships on the caprine reproduction.

He has developed sustainable techniques to stimulate the sexual activity of bucks and female goats during the periods of sexual rest through photoperiodic treatments and the socio-sexual interactions.

Since 2000 and 2022, he has internationally pioneered the concepts of sexually active males and buck-to-buck effect, respectively.
