Dr. Horacio Hernández Hernández obtained the degree of Doctor of Science in Neurobiology from UNAM in 2001.

Dr. Hernández is a professor in the Department of Medical-Veterinary Sciences and is a member of the Goat Reproduction Research Center (CIRCA) of the Antonio Narro Autonomous Agrarian University (UAAAN).

Dr. Hernandez's research topics focus on the line of research Mother-calf Relationships, Lactation and Postpartum Anestrus in the Goat.

Hernandez has developed strategic feeding schemes in grazing pregnant goats to improve the behavior of the mother and calves. Since 2004 at the UAAAN, he has published 18 articles in journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR).

Dr. Hernández has relevance in the National System of Researchers (SNI - CONAHCYT) at level II until December 2027.
